Compliance Edition: Feature Set
Dashboard
Provides a centralized view of the documentation, assessment and monitoring of open source use. Customizable reports and IP alerts provide managers, software engineers and legal professionals with instant access to relevant data they need (i.e. compliance status, license information, license obligations, product descriptions and copyright information) in order to make decisions about critical intellectual property issues before problems arise.

Policy Manager
Provides approval and workflow automation capabilities that users can easily customize to better manage their company's unique open source evaluation and authorization process and IP usage policy. The result is greater control over routine activities, the elimination of redundant tasks, and adherence to the company's IP policy.

Vulnerability and IP Detection Engine
The true power of the Compliance Edition comes from the breadth and scope of the detection engine. Using six different technologies to automatically identify and compare 3rd-party open source components, the engine supports version, binary file, Java namespace, license, copyright, source code and user-specified search. The search engine is also able to identify license text and copyright issues for intellectual property risk management. Typically only half of open source used inside applications contain the original source code. Detection with Palamida helps ensure protection from missing open source in use with IP issues that could lead to legal liabilities.
Composition Markup
Enables the organization's ability to annotate and tag all files and directories – from open source, proprietary, third-party commercial, and outsourced developers. The tags are permanent records that can provide information such as who brought in the open source, intended use, special license obligations, etc.
Palamida Data Library
The data library is fundamental to the Compliance Edition. Drawing on information of 1,100,000 open source project versions, it provides valuable project information such as description, license terms and obligations, copyright holders, site origin and even encryption information that could limit export capability.
